Formal signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement in Paris

On December 14, 1995, the leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia formally signed the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina at a ceremony in Paris, concluding the Dayton peace negotiations brokered by the United States.

The Paris signing formally codified the Dayton Accords, committing international parties to implement the settlement and clearing the way for NATO and UN forces to deploy to enforce the peace and begin post‑war reconstruction.
