Serbia's Reply to the Austro-Hungarian Ultimatum

Serbia accepted most but not all terms of Austria-Hungary's ultimatum and proposed arbitration on a few points, failing to satisfy Vienna fully.

The partial Serbian acquiescence failed to avert escalation, pushing Europe closer to war and creating the international emergency the Wilson administration had to monitor.
