Signing of the Treaty of Versailles (Hall of Mirrors)

President Woodrow Wilson joined Allied leaders in signing the Treaty of Versailles at the Palace of Versailles, formally concluding the state of war with Germany and establishing the Covenant of the League of Nations.

The treaty and its League covenant represented the culmination of Wilson's Fourteen Points and shaped the postwar international order, while provoking the U.S. Senate's later contentious debates over ratification and American membership in the League.
