2005 State of the Union Address

On January 31, 2005 President Bush delivered the State of the Union Address outlining his second-term agenda, including proposals on Social Security reform, tax policy, and the Iraq War.

The address laid out the administration's legislative and policy priorities for the new term and sought to shape congressional and public debate on major domestic and foreign issues.
